Assembly of Delegates

Assembly of Delegates Discussion Topics Have Been Released We Want Your Input!

As we prepare for this year’s AMTA National Convention, we’d love to hear from our Wisconsin members. Your feedback helps us better represent our chapter and bring member perspectives into the conversations at the Assembly of Delegates.

This year’s discussion topics include:

 Massage Therapy and AI

 Chapter Mandatory Deliverables

 Delegate Role in the Chapter

Question For Discussion

Should Chapter Mandatory Deliverables, as outlined in policy, be revised to better reflect what is important to members and what they value?

The Current AMTA Policy States:

For the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), Chapter Mandatory Deliverables are the required activities and responsibilities every chapter must complete each year to remain in good standing with the national organization. These are established in AMTA policy and are currently under review by the Assembly of Delegates, which is why one of this year's discussion topics asks whether they should be revised to better reflect what members value.

Examples of current chapter mandatory deliverables generally include:

  • Holding required chapter board meetings.

  • Maintaining required elected leadership positions.

  • Submitting annual budgets and financial reports.

  • Conducting chapter elections.

  • Providing member communications (such as newsletters, emails, or social media updates).

  • Offering continuing education or member engagement opportunities.

  • Participating in leadership training.

  • Meeting reporting deadlines required by National AMTA.

  • Following chapter bylaws and governance requirements.

We Welcome Your Thoughts and Input

We encourage members to share their thoughts, ideas, and perspectives!
